Who We Are

We are a chapter of Blue Star Mothers of America, and you can learn more about us through our national organization here

As mothers of military men and women serving or Veterans who were honorably discharged, we support each other and our children, assisting other VSO’s, and our local veterans while promoting patriotism.

We were chartered by Congress on January 6. 1960 and our Congressional charter was updated January 5, 2011.

What We Do

One of our primary missions is to support the deployed members of the United States Armed Forces, no matter what state they call home, with care packages from home. These names are supplied to us through the Military Bases or through family, friends (and even through our deployed when they see someone not receiving mail.)

We collect items through community donations for these care packages and accept cash donations to help with shipping and purchases possible. As well, we host many events to help in funding this effort.

We also support our local veterans in their events in our community when asked, one of our partnerships is with the Broken Arrow Veteran Center in efforts to support the organizations within the building. We help with the Annual Wreaths Across America Campaign by sponsoring wreaths for the military sites in our local Park Grove Cemetery. Please check our Events Page for a link to sponsor a wreath annually (January 1- November 31).

We support Eagle OPS as well with volunteering for events with their Mission and they support us when we need them.
